The Offshore 98 participants called their vessel the “MV Morning Star”, but that wasn’t the real name of the ship. It was in fact the Aurora, a motor vessel from Scheveningen. The vessel made worldwide headlines in June 2001 after being rebuilt as an abortus ship which was to serve in international waters off the Irish coast.
